    Mbtrading SPX

everything works fine except SP500 index data. It says invalid symbol. cboe not understood.
If I try to load with kinectic or yahoo it is fine. my guess is the symbol associated with this index might be invalid. And same thing happens with yahoo on ^DJIA.

any ideas how to resolve this. Im using MBT Demo servers .
    thanks.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your post.

So I may assist you further please answer the following.

What version of NinjaTrader are you running? You can check by going to Help> About
What version of MBT Desktop are you running? You can check by selecting About in MBT Desktop

Please note that Yahoo only supports equities and will not be able to loaf indexes.

Below I have provided a link to the Understanding the data provided by your connectivity provider section of our help guide.

        Hello kinshin9,

        Thanks for your reply.

Please try to reset your instruments by disconnecting from all providers and going to Tools> Options> Data> Reset Instruments
        Restart NinjaTrader and test

If this does not work please send your config file support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com
You will locate your config file under My Documents> NinjaTrader 7
        It will be named config.xml
Once located send the file as an attachment and in the message put ATTN BRANDON and include a link to this forum topic.
This will allow me to connect to your MB Trading account and verify the settings you will need to use.

The message I received when trying to access the ^SP500 is the following

7/4/2013 12:09:25 PM Default Error on loading chart data for '^SP500 Cboe': Error (errServerSideNotEntitled) on loading historical data

I attempted to load the $SPX in MBT Desktop also and received no data

Please contact MB Trading for information on receiving this index data.
