Yahoo Connection

Hi,

From the NJ connection, the Yahoo only has EOD connection available. However, Yahoo also has delayed real time data available with url link: http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/...1d1t1c1hgvbap2.

This is a free data service from Yahoo, the other connections that NJ included are required to have a provider's account.

Will NJ make the Yahoo realtime available for NJ connection?

Can you provide a link to information on the delayed feed from Yahoo? And any additional details on this feed I can pass along to our development team.

I was unable to locate any information on this feed. Does it only offer the GOOG, MSFT and YHOO symbols? How do you select the symbols?

Hi Patrick,

If you do a google search "quote.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv parameter" , you can get a lot of website provides details of the realtime yahoo connection. Here is one of them:http://www.gummy-stuff.org/Yahoo-data.htm.

You can program multiple symbols inside a single url link to request for data. Indeed AmiBroker's data downloader called AmiQuote provides such connection, namely it has two yahoo connection; one called "Yahoo Historical (EOD)" and one called "Yahoo Current (delayed realtime for current day only)"

I believe more than 80% of NJ users are looking for free data feed. If this Yahoo delayed realtime connection can be included immediately, I am very sure that many existing users will be benefited and a lot of new users will join in!!!

While searching for a solution I see an option from Yahoo:
Yahoo offer a Web-Interface which works very well. Below is an example.
If we submit the Link with the internet Explorer. We will get a CSV-File back.

http://ichart.finance.yahoo.com/table.csv?s=SAP.DE&a=11&b=27&c=2006&g=d&ignore=.csv

Is there a way to download the data into Ninjatrader over this Interface. Perhaps the development team can help?

Unfortunately this interface is not currently supported. I will forward the suggestion that we add support for this method of data access to our development team for further consideration however.
