multiple IB accounts

Hi there,
I have a single broker license and I am having trouble connecting to two different interactive broker accounts (with different logins).

First, do i need to have multiple broker ninja trader license to connect to both at once?

If not, what is the appropriate connection setup for each.

I tried using two different ports, but no luck. First connection establishes fine, and then when I attempt to connect to second I get this:

Login failed: IB.Adapter.MessageLoop No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

Thoughts?

Thank you for your post.

From the sound of it, client ID will need to be changed on one of the logins. You'll need to remove one of the connections, then remake that connection using a different Client ID number. It doesn't matter which ID number you assign however please be sure to start TWS for that account and make the same Client ID change in the Configure > API tab of TWS.

Hey Kyle,
I just tried setting the client ID of one connection to (1) in both Ninja connections and within TWS and still no luck. Does one have to connect before the other? Any other thoughts?

What Client ID is used with the other connection? The two must differ.
