    One symbol won't update in Market Analyzer

    I have a list of symbols in Market Analyzer. They are set up correctly in the Instrument Manager. They all update except for one. I am connected to a live IB feed. The one that shows no data is the only symbol that I have an active position in. It charts fine. What is the deal?

    P.S. I am a brand new user.

    Could you answer a few questions so that I may assist you.

    What version of Interactive Broker's TWS are you using? You can check under TWS -> Help -> About -> Scroll down to the bottom and look for the Build #

    If you open up a Time and Sales window with that instrument do you see any information populating? File -> New -> Times and Sales -> Right Click -> Add Instrument.

    What instrument is not working?

    Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

      TWS Build 936.9g
      Time and Sales does not work either. Instrument is XLV.
      XLK, for example, works in both Time and Sales and Market Analyzer.

      The only thing that I can figure is that I have a position on via IB in XLV and not in the other markets I am quoting.

      XLV is updating fine in IB.

        There are no errors in the Control Center. And as I said before, if I chart XLV in NinjaTrader it charts fine with current data.

          Thanks for that information.

          First, thing that you may want to do is install the supported version of Traders Workstation which is 938.1

          You can download Traders Workstation 938.1 from the link below


          If you are still not getting data for the XLV in NinjaTrader but you are getting realtime data inside of TWS, then you may want to double check your settings for XLV to make sure that you have selected the proper exchange which is Arca.

          Here is a post that goes over how to make sure that the instrument is properly setup.

            The symbol was set up correctly. I uninstalled the newer version of TWS and installed the one you recommended...works now! Thanks!
