    chart for ZN won't update with Patsystems data

    Hello,

    For some strange reason, all my charts (for CL, ES, 6E, etc.) update in real time with Patsystems data except for my two ZN 09-13 charts. They are stuck on old information for last price, bid, ask, and bid/ask size. I can force it to refresh by manually selecting Reload All Historical Data or by selecting another contract and then re-selecting ZN 09-13.

    The same exact thing happens on a second (backup) computer... which leads me to believe that it might be the symbol mapping???

    In the instrument manager, it's mapped as "ZN|CME_CBT" under Patsystems. However, ZB 09-13 is also mapped the same way as "ZB|CME_CBT". Both have Globex selected for the exchange.

    Could you please help?

    Thank you for your forum post.


    Do you receive any messages in the Log tab of the Control Center about ZN or ZB receiving delayed data?

    If you load one of these instruments on a Time & Sales window, do live updates come in to this Time & Sales window?


    I can verify that your instruments are mapped correctly within NinjaTrader.

    One item you can investigate is to see if your account is enabled for these instruments:
    • Control Center > Tools > Instrument Manager...
    • Click the "Pats..." button on the upper right hand corner
    • Scroll through this list to see if ZN and ZB are setup on the account



    If it looks like you are enabled for these instruments you can troubleshoot further by resetting your instruments:

    When you perform an instrument reset, the following actions will occur:
    • User added instruments will not be affected.
    • Any changes you have made to the original instrument settings will be reset
    • Any changed symbol mappings will be reset including changes made for use with the Automated Trading Interface.


    • Disconnect from any data providers.
    • Control Center > Tools > Options...
    • Data tab > Reset Instruments
    • Restart NinjaTrader

      reset worked

      Didn't find anything in the log and Time&Sales didn't update either... ZN was listed under Pats button. So I did the reset per your instructions and that worked.
