    TD error

    Hello,

    I'm getting this error from TD sometime during the day. I'm getting ready to go live and
    this error concerns me.

    Any idea?

    **NT** Strategy 'StrategyA/15304ca4e820421e87e3d2fb95ef7c7f' lost price connection but will keep running.

    TexFly, that would mean that you had partially lost connection to your brokerage - as internally those connections can exist of 2 connections, a price and an order one.

      It looks like it happens everyday. After I come back from the office I always find that error message. Is there anyway to print, in the output window, what time it throws the error so I can see if it happens after market close?

        You could custom track in OnConnectionStatus(), however connection issues would be noted per default in your NT log tab / log files as well for review.

          I get the log message NT_Bertrand points out, usually more than 1 time a day for TDA. It will reconnect right away.

            Hey TexFly - are you having major issues today? 9/17/2013?

            NT gives up on the connection loss/disconnects and I ended up orange all day without a price feed until I got back. reconnecting suffered the same fate, on/off/on/off/no more attempts to stay on. started 11:03am here.

              Yes I see errors but the connection remained green. I get a lot of the "Strategy whatever lost price connection but will keep running" every day. However I have changed my settings after the last issue as follows:

              On connection loss
              Disconnect delay 10s
              Restart attempts 20
              Restart within 10 min

              That appears to help.


              The disappointing part is that NT has not clear "resume" environment so after the "orange" status whatever I tried ended up forcing a global restart.

              I lost all my "history" and test positions and I had to start from scratch...NT and TD are playing the famous game "pointing my finger at you..." about all these issues.

                Cleared up last night 7:30..


                Lost price connection again ..about 11:20am..

                I'll,have to try the delay..but it might not do any good, if tda is dropping connectuons and NT simply gives up.

                  NT gave up 11:22 am and didn't attempt to reconnect.

                    I got no errors from my connection. That's weird. Did you try to disconnect and reconnect?

                    Apparentely if you restart you might get connected to a different and more stable server...
