Hi Guys,
I'm currently looking at using NT as my trading platform. I'm trying to get used to it as a platform before I purchase I license of you guys and go live.
I'm based in London, UK. I have an Interactive Brokers account that I'm using as my current data feed.
In Instrument Manager I have added Vodafone as a new master instrument (stock) in the database.
The parameters I have used are as follows,
Symbol : VOD
Type : Stock
Currency : BritishPound
Description : Vodafone
Exchanges : Lse
Symbol Map (for Interactive Brokers) : VOD
That's it.
Right now I seem to be having two problems.
Because the tick size in NT is set to 0.01 by default for stocks, and UK stocks are displayed in pence (not pounds), NT thinks a tick is 0.01 of a penny.
Hence when I show Vodafone in Super DOM I get the following....
BID 159.70 (i.e. 159.70 pence)
ASK 159.80 (i.e. 159.80 pence)
In the super DOM I get every price in between the bid and offer... i.e. 159.71, 159.72, 159.73 etc... Even though each of these prices displayed is not a valid price for Vodafone. In fact the tick size for Vodafone is 0.1 pence. Not 0.01 pence.
This is likely to be a common problem with all UK stocks.
Any idea how I can overcome this problem...???
In what may be related problem, if I try and create a New>Chart of the VOD symbol once it is set up, I get a blank chart back. But worse than that, all further charts I try and create of ANY instrument are blank from that point forwards. The creation of the VOD chart seem to corrupt all further charts.
Again, any thoughts on this problem...??
Help appreciated.
