    Hi Joemiller,

    Thank you for your note.

To apply an Indicator to the other data series, follow the steps below –

    1. From your chart open the Indicators Window, Right click in the chart and select Indicators
    2. Add the Indicator by selecting the indicator on the left list and click new.
    3. To the right will be parameters for that Indicator.
    4. Under ‘Data’ change the Input series by clicking in and then the ‘…’ button that appears to the right.
    5. This will bring up the Input Series window.
    6. Select the Data Series you want to add the indicator too, you can choose to calculate it on the close, high, open, etc.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Click Apply and then OK

You will now have an indicator plot for the other data series.
Below is a link that will explain about adding indicators to your charts.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

      thanks Cal

i am not able to make this work yet. want to make sure your instructions are for the multi panel situation that was displayed in the attachment, where the first data series has an indicator on it and I want to place the indicator on the data series in the other panel(s). this is no reflection on the instructions, just want to make double sure we are on the same page and that i am not taking myself down a blind alley. I can handle indicators on a single chart so I do know how to do that.

        NT_cal's Steps 4,5&6 surely do.

I must not have been pushing the correct buttons. I will now play around with it some more.

          thanks

I just got home and played around to verify.

Maybe the step you are missing is that you need to add the indicator 3 times if you want to add it to all 3 sections.

You can also have the indicator all based on the same input series (1 minute), and use the chart panel to move it to the 5 and 10 minute series, etc.

each panel is for a different security [ie] EURUSD, USDJPY and YN.

Am I allowed to do that or must it be same security, different bar times?

You're allowed. Now try it out.

OK, It worked. my problem was that I did not go one level lower when making an input series choice to chose close, high, median, etc.

                  thanks for the help
