    Connection NT7-IB TWS

    Hello,

    i have established a connection between NT7 and tws (938)
    I have spoken to IB and they have confirmed ( thru log files) that the connection is correct.

    BUT, orders that i manually enter in NT are not executed in tws.

    I even selected the tws account number in options/ATI.

    Can u please assist.

    Thanks for writing in.

    Please ensure that Global Simulation Mode is not checked under the Control Center> File
    Once unchecked you will be able to select your live account in any Account drop down menu.

      Hi Brandon,

      i've unticked this, no change.
      Are there any special setting in Tools/options/ati other than the acountnumber?

        Thanks for your reply.

        Can I verify, how are you trying to place orders to Interactive Brokers? (example: market order in chart trader)
        Do you receive an error when placing orders and if so what does it say?
        The ATI interface is used for automated trades from eSignal or TradeStation. These settings would not be used for manual trades.

            Thanks for your reply.

            Within the Order tab of the Control Center do you have your live account selected under the Account drop down menu?
            What version of NinjaTrader are you using? (Example: 7.0.1000.15)

            * You can check under Help -> About

            What build of Traders Workstation are you using? (Example: 938.1)

            * To verify what version of Traders Workstation you currently have log into Traders Workstation
            * Under Help go to About Traders Workstation...
            * Scroll down and look for Build

            Do you receive an error when placing orders and if so what does it say?

              Brandon,

              attached the control center screenshot; I don't see an account drop down menu..
              NT 64-bit 7.0.1000 (11) live
              IB 938.1

              I can open the 'about TWS' via the help menu, but the pop-up screen, with the scroll function automatically removes itself after a split second. Same happens with the popup screen when pressing create in API SETTINGS TRUSTED IP adresses, aslo the initial popupscreen where it says; are you accepting incoming signals YES/NO dissapears after a split second.. weird

              It is a simulated trading account, not sure if thsi makes a difference..

                  how embarassing!
                  I have made the control center asomewhat smaller for easier fit within my vps screen.
                  Since it has been the same size for the last 6 months, i 'never'knew there were more option.

                  Indeed, at your indicated place we could highlight the correct account.

                  One more question; if i run my ninja trader automated strategy in a chart, how do i get these signals then to IB. Is this something you change into the strategy parameters?

                    That is correct, in the parameters you will be able to select what account to trade to.
