    Output Window invisible

    Hi everyone

I've used the Output Window frequently and, up till now, haven't had a problem.

Now, with a Workspace with charts, when I call up the Output Window, it isn't visible - except as a tab on my XP taskbar, but when I click on that, nothing happens.

When I close the active Workspace, leaving one without any charts, then it's visible.

Any help with this will be much appreciated.

    Hello arbuthnot,

Please check all of your windows and disable Always On Top.

    To do this:
    • Right-click the window -> uncheck Always On Top

Please let me know if this does not resolve the issue.

Thanks very much, Chelsea, for replying so promptly.

The two charts in this Workspace already had 'Always On Top' unchecked.

I've now found that I can see the Output Window by right-clicking on its tab on the XP taskbar, and choosing 'Maximize', but I can't resize it - if I click the 'Resize' button (top right on the blue top XP bar) it disappears again.

I would like to be able to bring it to about half screen size so I can drag it over to another screen (as I've done many times before) and work with it while the chart is visible on the main screen.

      The main point is:

      - if I click the tab on the taskbar

      or

      - try to select it using the Windows 'Alt + Tab' feature

      it remains invisible.

I'd be grateful for any further ideas.

          Hello arbuthnot,

          Actually, try the following:

To bring a window back to view when it is off the monitor:
          • Right-click the taskbar-bar button for the window in question -> select Move (After this DO NOT MOVE THE MOUSE!!)
          • Tap an arrow key (any arrow key) -> move the mouse around until the window is visible on the screen -> click to stop moving
          • Save your workspace so that these windows will appear correctly upon the next open of NinjaTrader

Much obliged, Chelsea, for both your replies.

I followed your suggestion about the taskbar-bar button and it worked! So that's terrific.

The problem was, now I know the solution, a Windows issue - not a NinjaTrader one - and was almost certainly caused by me dragging the Output Window - last time I used it - below the taskbar.

So I'm the cause of this problem and will sit on the naughty step for a couple of hours in contrition.

I'm very grateful to you, Chelsea, for working out the solution.

I always auto-hide the task bar
