how to add many strategies

Hi,

I need help on how to add many strategies to the Strategies tab quickly. Right now if there is a futures roll, for example CL-10-13 to CL-11-13, I have to delete all existing ones, and clicking "New Strategy", then change properties on each one, selecting "session template" and "account", one by one. Repeat this sequence for 50 times since I have 50 strategies running in the same time.

And do it every month for crude oil.

Is there an easier way to accomplish this? Like a configuration file somewhere ?

Hello,

Instead of adding the strategies via the strategies tab you could apply them directly to a chart.
This will allow you to change the chart series and it will affect all strategies applied to this chart. That way you only have to make one change instead of changing each individual strategy settings.

They will still show up on the strategies tab but will use the chart series instead of what is plugged in.

However if each strategy requires a different type of CL chart then you would have to do this manually. I will submit this as a feature request to roll-over strategies

The chart only has certain time frequency, no 4m, or 6m, 7m etc.. And it is manual actions, not much better.

Another related question, how does NT7 load strategy tab anyway? I thought there must be a strategy setup XML or TXT file somewhere, but looked for it everywhere, can not find.

The strategies on the strategies tab are stored in the Database file

We don't support external modification of this file but it's located in (MY)Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\NinjaTrader.sdf
