    login failed: Unable to login(13): permission error

    I get this when trying to log into zenfire.

    Is there a known problem at this time?

    (My firewall settings etc., are all the same as when I usually log in, my subscription is up to date, my internet connection IS working, my Windows updates is up to date and I've tried restarting NT)

    Hello Instamess,

    I am not aware of any issues - I am able to connect on my end.

    Can you please send me your log and trace files, so I can investigate. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Mail to Support in NinjaTrader. Put 'Att Jason, login failed: Unable to login(13): permission error' in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'.

      I tried that. It says that the attachment file doesn't exist.

        Can you please send me the files via your regular email. You can send it to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com. Please put 'Att Jason, login failed: Unable to login(13): permission error' in the subject header.

        C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->(My) Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Log--> log.20130923 for today. (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)

        C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->(My) Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Trace--> trace.20130923 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

          Thanks for your email help.

          As per your instructions I added a certificate to my internet options and ran the various network shell commands and the login is now working.

          However, I would like to know the background to the problem. Despite your quick replies, I've lost a couple of hours today of not being able to log into Zenfire... and would like to avoid that in future.

            Good to hear you can connect again.

            Unfortunately I am not sure why you had a certificate missing - I am not aware of any known causes. Were there any changes on your computer since the last time you were able to connect successful?

              No, no changes. I shut my laptop on Friday (didn't even close Windows) and reopened it on Monday morning ... and couldn't connect.

                Jason - I am getting a login error as well. Can you post the instructions you gave Instamess, so I can give them a try as well.

                  Hello MrSlausen,

                  Thanks for your post.

                  First ensure you are running the latest version of NinjaTrader

                  To check what version of NinjaTrader you are running go to Help> About
                  To upgrade to NinjaTrader version 7.0.1000.15 please follow the link bellow.

                  Under Current User paste your license key.
                  You can locate your license key under Help> License key
                  Select Download NinjaTrader
                  Download Version 7.0.1000.15 (Current)
                  Before running the installer ensure NinjaTrader is closed.
                  Restart and test.

                  If this did not work, please download the attached files
                  Extract the files
                  Exit all programs and install each certificate
                  Once complete launch NinjaTrader and test
                  If this does not work I would recommend to send an email to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com so we can set up a remote call

                          Now i am getting permission error....

                          I can not believe how pathetic you guys have become lately...Ninja Trader wake up your business is going same as Mirus went...Crazy...
