Mail Setup Not Working

I'm trying to test mail setup and I have a gmail account. Here are the settings I'm trying to use:

Server: smtp.google.com
Port: 465 SLL checked
User: (is this supposed to my NT login or email address)
Password: (is this supposed to by my NT password or email password)

Are the server and port settings correct for gmail and what do I need for user and pw?

Also is it possible to have price alerts emailed through Market Analyzer or is getting price alerts emailed something that has to be specially coded?

You will use your username and password for g-mail in the username and password field.

Price Alerts are possible in charts and the Market Analyzer. For the Market Analyzer you will use alert conditions for the Columns, you can find information on these at the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h..._and_filte.htm

In the Tools > Options > Misc tab ensure to set the 'Mail alert messages to' option to the desired e-mail address.

Can you point me to a link that demonstrates how to set a price alert in a chart. I have not been able to locate such a thing in the Help Guide.

Hello,

To set a price based alert in the chart you will need to apply the PriceAlert indicator:
Right click in the chart and select Indicators.
Select PriceAlert from the list on the upper left then click the New button.
Click OK to exit the Indicators menu.
Drag the price alert line to the price where you wish to be alerted. When this price level is breached a door bell sound will trigger.
