TD Ameritrade Ninjatrader account for trading stocks

Hi folks:

How can I obtain a Ninjatrader specific TD Ameritrade demo account to where I would get a ACTUAL TD Ameritrade demo equity account number to use inside NT INSTEAD of the Sim 101 account that resides on the local machine? Most other brokers allow this. Can you hook me up with how to do it because TDA referred me back to you to find out.

Thank you for your post.

I am not sure why you were referred to us - we do not have the ability to create a TD Ameritrade account which includes a demo account which exists on TD Ameritrade servers. This is something which only TD Ameritrade could provide to you though I am unsure if it is a service which they actually offer.

TD Ameritrade has a paper trading account you can use if you have an open account with them

Anyone else can respond if you have input as well...

I was hoping you good talk to some other colleagues to try to find out a contact person who may directly deal with NT demos within TDAmeritrade because most of the general reps don't know much about it. I believe I can trade their demo for stocks with NT BUT the connection is delayed data. So, I was hoping you may be able to help find (speaking to your other colleagues) a contact that could, in fact, setup a NT live real time feed for stocks on a demo. Other brokers sometimes have a special contact person or link to you just for NT...so, just trying to find a solution here...smile.

@LTWCI yea I actually do have a open account with them and do have one of there TOS (TDA) paper trading accounts for their own platform. When I connect with them on the paper trade account it is delayed data though I believe. So, I guess one solution MAY be to try to connect both the LIVE account and the DEMO account to NT to be able to get a live feed and trade the demo paper account. However, I believe NT will not allow 2 connections of the same feed at the same time. Is that right Kyle? Can that be changed for the case of TDA perhaps?

I never got a response from the TDAmeritrade contact person on that. Stopped trying after 5 emails...smile.
