Is live, real time data saved?

I was wondering if the live data I receive from my broker is saved or if, as soon as I restart ninjatrader, the historic data from the ninjatrader server overrides the previously receive real time data?

Front Control Center.. is tools->options->data->"save chart data as historical" checked?

If you want market replay, is that checked?

Real-Time data is not natively saved in NinjaTrader, only Historical data but by going to the

Control Center.. is tools->options->data->"save chart data as historical" checked?

you may save the Real-Time data as historical as it is coming in.

So by default all data is Ninja data... So what data feed does Ninja use? Closing prices are very important to me, so I am wondering if the Ninja feed uses the correct, official closing prices?

Regarding the Historical Data when connected to CQG. Thanks for reporting this. We are aware of the missing data and we are looking into getting this resolved. I will let you know if we have an update on this.

Yes, as NinjaTrader is not a data provider or a broker you will be receiving data from who you are connected to. So your real-time data will come from Vision Financials.

NinjaTrader is not a real-time data provider. As a courtesy service, NinjaTrader servers offer historical data which is recorded using the Rythmic feed with your Vision Financial Markets account as the Rythmic technology itself does not provide historical data.
