    how to keep stop loss

    Hi

I have some kind of problem about how to use chart trader on ninja trader.

I set stop loss and profit when I trade on chart. I have a trade and hold it more than a day so I turn off my computer. But when I turn on computer and run ninja trader again my stop loss and profit target that I have set it is not on the chart any more.

How can I get my stop loss and profit target back and how can I keep it even I turn of ninja trader.

    Thank you

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

These orders are likely being cancelled as you disconnect and shut the PC down. Which provider do you use with NinjaTrader?

        Hello tamasuke,

Once orders receive an 'Accepted' or 'Working' status, they reside at the exchange or at the broker servers on most occassions. You can view the order status in the Control Center-->Orders-tab, State column. So if you disconnect, it will not disappear the orders - they remain at the exchange or broker server. More information can be found at the link below.
Note: This information is relevant for NinjaTrader 7 only. For NinjaTrader 8, please click here (https://ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt8/where_do_your_orders_reside_.htm). CQG Orders in a state "Accepted" or "Working" are at the exchange. If the exchange does not support a specific order type, the

Please note that OCO functionality resides in NinjaTrader for most broker technologies (except IB, CQG and TD Ameritrade). So if you have an OCO order set (stop loss and profit target - ATM orders) active and you lose connection or NinjaTrader is shut down, subsequently one of the OCO orders fills at the exchange, it will not cancel the other OCO order. NinjaTrader needs to be running and connected to send the order cancellation request.

Could it be you submitted the ATM orders with TIF set to Day, so the orders get cancelled at the end of the trading day? If you like orders to remain, please set TIF to Gtc (Good till cancelled).
