ETH vs RTH Default per instrument

    Hi,

I would like to know whether I can setup ninjatrader so that I can have a default ETH session and default RTH session for each contract. It is very annoying changing each chart between ETH to ETH and RTH.

I have setup the session templates so that if I select the <Use instrument settings> they all default to their RTH session. But now switching between ETH is frustrating. For example, say I am looking at Crude Oil (CL) ETH and I wanna switch to the Emini (ES) ETH. So I have to change to CL, then open up the data series and choose the new session template. If im flipping thru, CL, ES, ZN, 6E, GC, NG, ZB,FDAX, and then all the stocks. It gets very annoying trying to select each different ETH session template. I would be nice if the data series had two defaults, one for ETH and one for RTH. Is it possible to do this already? A button on the chart would be fantastic for this (like it is in ThinkOrSwim)

    Hello habibalex,

    Thank you for your post.

As it stands, only one template can be the default template for any given instrument. I will forward this suggestion to our development staff for further consideration as they develop NinjaTrader's next version however.
