    fixing element setting.

Theoretically, since I am obviously much to intelligent to do something this stupid, lets say someone made changes to an element but did not bother to write down what the original settings were. Now lets say when loading a chart it comes up as invalid symbol.
Also consider that this was done so long ago that no one could possibly remember what they did. Is there any way to get and reload the default original setting before any modifications in instrument manger? That is before the idiot messed it up. Hypothetically of course.

    Thanks

    Hello mcteague,

You can reset the preloaded instruments in NinjaTrader back to their default settings by resetting the instruments.

You will need to disconnect from your connections to reset the instruments.

To reset your instruments please: go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.

This has not solved the problem.
"Error on loading chart data for 'LVS Default': E,Invalid symbol.,"

I might have to re-install. I have to renew my license soon anyway. Unless you have some other suggestion.

        Hello mcteague,

What symbol mapping are you using for this instrument?

            Hello mcteague,

What symbol mapping are you using for this instrument? You can find the symbol mapping by going to the Misc tab in the Instrument Editor window, scrolling down to the Symbol map section and checking the setting entered for your data provider.

                Hello mcteague,

Please go to Tools > Instrument Manager, search for LVS, select it and click Delete > OK.

Then open a chart for any instrument.

Once the chart is loaded, left click on the chart in an empty space, type LVS and press the Enter key.

Deleting lvs and then reloading it worked.
Apparently some setting got corrupted. I presume those are the default procedures if similar problems occur again.

                  Thanks for your help
