    NT immediately crashes after launch

    Hello,

    I am trying to evaluate NT. Never used it before. I have downloaded free version - 7.0.1000.16 (Current).

    My env: Windows 8.0 32bit, latest updates installed, 3GB, Avast AV

    Installation worked fine (under elevated permissions). But when I click the icon of NT on the desktop it immediately crashes with WER file attached below. No NT process left in memory after crash.

    I have tried to use the recipe from here http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ad.php?t=57923. It didnt help. Tried to run it with elevated permissions, with antivirus off. It didnt help as well. Tried to download previous version of NT - seems your website contains a dead link to it.

    Please advise.

The file is located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I would need the 'trace.20131117.txt' file.

      Hello Kyle,

      I have sent email to your support address. As for trace file I have checked Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. The folder itself exists, but there are no files in it.

      Please let me know when it is fixed.

        Crash at launch

        Hi Ninja,
        same problem for me.
        A Parallels Win 8 virtual machine that I have been happily running Ninja on for a year or two has suddenly gone bad. Ninja crashes at startup - before the splash screen is visible.
        I have tried everything, including doing a full uninstall, renaming of the documents folder with "old" so that Ninja has to create a new one.
        Even with a fresh install, it crashes at launch. It crashes too early to write any log or trace files.
        I have not updated or installed anything new in that Ninja recently, and in any case the fresh install certainly doesn't have anything funky in it. The only thing that did happen recently is that Windows did a bunch of updates to itself, but that should not harm Ninja. On other machines I've got Ninja running on Win 8 and Win 8.1 no problems.
        What can I do? I need to use this multi-core machine for larger backtests. What is the way forward from here?
