CQG problem

Does anyone have CQG disconnect and now cannot reload tick data?

Thank you for your post.

Have you had your chart open for a while and then disconnected from CQG and then tried to reload your chart without a connection to your data provider?

If you are wanting to save your real-time data as historical data you can do this by:

• Click Tools -> Options... -> select the Data tab -> check the box labelled 'Save chart data as historical'

This will make the data you receive in real-time available offline.

If you are not wanting to save your real-time data as historical but would like to use historical data offline, download the historical data by reloading the data on the chart before disconnecting and it will be available offline.

• While connected to your data provider right-click the chart -> select Reload All Historical Data
• Then disconnect from the data provider and you can now reload the offline data on your chart

Thanks Chelsea, actually I fixed it by disconnect, repair db and reconnect, now it can download hist data from CQG again.

I have a question about the point you brought up though. If I followed your direction and save chart data as historical, then when I goto historical data manager and re-download the entire tick data at the end of the day, will it always overwrite the ones saved in realtime from the charts?

That is correct. When you reload all historical data it will overwrite any data (including real-time data) that is saved.
