The graph shows one day ahead !

I noticed that the graph shows one day ahead. For example, in the attached file, the title EOAN.DE connected with yahoo server in end of day, it shows the last candle as 21.11.2013 instead of 11.20.2013 the (European date).

Also in the graphs to the minute I notice the same thing, CME and all instrument ... how come?

Thank you for your courteous clarification.

    Hello sniper,

    Thanks for writing in.

Bar times in NinjaTrader are on the close of the bar.

The current bar being shown is the bar being built.

For example, if you have a 5 minute series and the current time is 1:01, the current bar on the chart will be the currently being built bar that closes at 1:05.

Let me know if this not quite what you were asking about.

        Hello sniper,

That should make the most current bar for a daily chart be today's date as is shown in your screenshot.

This is because the current bar being built will close at the beginning of tomorrow session (has not closed yet and is still being built).

Maybe it's a problem of setting times, because EOAN.DE is listed on the DAX, but NT does not show me the bar today November 21. The last bar is visible on 20 November but NT marks it as 21.

            Hi sniper,

Are you using the Default 24/7 session template for this instrument?
            • Tools -> Instrument Manager... -> search for EOAN.DE -> select the search result row -> click the Edit button
            • In the Instrument Editor window what is set for Session template?

This may be because of the Default 24/7 template being in Eastern Time. Because your time zone is earlier than Eastern Time and the Default 24/7 template begins and ends at 12:00 PM, your chart is going to be a day ahead.

Instead try using a different session template and let me know if this does not correct the chart. Try using the US Equities RTH template.

                  Hello sambar,

                  Thanks for your post.

Daily bars are fully formed by the data provider and NinjaTrader is not able to build this bar type.

Because of this, the session template that was used by the data provider will not be changeable with a daily bar.

Typically, data providers will record a daily bar with RTH hours.

A workaround for this is to use a minute chart with 1440 minutes and the session template of choice.
This cause a daily view as there are 1440 minutes in a day.
