    chart not updated with new rollover contract month

    I use instrument manager to add YM 03-14 Globex to Default folder and remove YM 12-13 from the default folder.

    On the chart, I connect to Kinetick real time, change the symbol to YM 03-14. The reloading still shows the YM 12-13 prices.

    Then I use [Reload all historical data], it does not fix the chart.

    What did I do wrong? How to fix?

            Hello,

            Thank you for getting back to me.

            NinjaTrader is not set to start using 03-14 data until 12/12/2013. Please take the following steps:
            In the Manager, select YM from the list on the right then click Edit to open the Instrument Editor.
            In the Editor, navigate to the Misc tab and scroll down to the Contract Months section - select that property then click the '...' button which appears.
            In the Contract Months menu, select 03-14 and change the rollover date to 12/10.
            Click OK to exit the Contract Months menu.
            Click OK to exit the Instrument Editor.
            Click OK to exit the Instrument Manager.
            Restart NinjaTrader.

            After restarting you should see YM 03-14 charts load normally.

              The tick chart and minute chart seem to be matching with 03-14 price. But the daily chart is not.

              I closed the daily chart, reopen a new daily chart. Also reload all historical data. Still shows 12-13 price level. Please advise.

                  I did make the changes per your instructions. Thank you.

                  The daily chart seems to be stubborn. I can afford to wait til Friday or next week to see if it will change by itself.

                      This time when I open the charts, the daily chart appears to be correct.
                      The expiry is YM 03-14.

                        Hi!

                        I havbhe es 06-20 to es 09-20 and the Renko not follow. I have data in the previuou day.
                        I ahve similar problem, but this is the first time I have this issue.
                        In minute is ok, but in Renko not.
                        Please see the images attach.

                          Hello,

                          First I would try deleting your cache and tick data.

                          To delete the cache and tick folders, follow the steps below.
                          • Shut down NinjaTrader.
                          • Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > db folder.
                          • Delete the sub-folder named cache and tick.
                          • Restart NinjaTrader and test.
                          If the issue is still occurring, who is your data provider and does this occur on all contracts?

                            But before start you sugestion:

                            If I delete tick... I never have it, correct? You know that have this data "Tick" it is not possible download again - for me by TWS.
                            Sure to delete? It not possible a alterantive to start?

                            Yes is for all contcacts with Renko. With tiem frame, minutes, day, week, not happen.
                            I use IB for data.

                            edit: this ahppen after you colleague say to have Micros, like MES etc.. I have to downgrade the release TWS and unisntall Ninja 7 and install again... perhaps problem with this changes?
                            Because before never happen this.

                              Hello,

                              For IB connections, historical data is not supported so yes this data would be lost if you have no other data source. However this would also explain the original error you are seeing, as for tick based charts such as a renko chart you will not see any historical data loaded with an IB connection.

                              Please let me know if I may assist further.
