Hello Ken,
Welcome to our forum and thank you for your post.
Yahoo and Google only provide Daily data to us so Renko and Range bars are not supported. Renko and Range bars are build from Tick data and unfortunately there aren't any supported providers that provide this data for Free.
To see these kind of bars in a chart you would need to have an account with a supported provider that provides this kind of data to us.
Please see here for an overview of our supported providers and what they provide to us:

hi, thx for your reply, i have tried http://www.backtestdata.com and downloaded the sample of E-Mini S&P 500 Index Future which they claimed supporting range bar.
The sample works in daily chart, but when applied in range chart, it doesn't, I don't know why the y-axis suddenly change to the range of 0 to 0.25, and nothing in the chart, could you tell me why?

Hello Ken,
Can you clear out the data, then reload it into the DB file by manual placement. After this ensure that you can bring up the data in the Historical Data Manager under the Tools menu. When it does show up there bring up a Custom Range chart for the data and see if it loads.
Also, please be aware they are not a partner of ours.Vince B.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Hello Ken,
What you can do is to contact Portara which is one of partners and they provide data for backtesting as well:

unlike Portara, the other data provider mentioned in this thread "backtestdata.com" is not an official partner of Ninjatrader, right?
I'm asking because I had to find out, that the data from backtestdata was low quality.
Thanks.
