No trades in backtesting

Hello im trying to familiarize myself with NT ans i followed step by step guide from NT on automated strategies... but when i run backtest it says no trades were place, i followed the video fully what is wrong?

Who are you connected to? This is displayed in the lower left hand corner of the Control Center

What instrument are you testing this with?(include front month for a futures insturment)

What time interval are you running this on?

Can you reproduce the same results with the SampleMACrossOver strategy?

What instrument are you testing this with? EURUSD and other currencies

What time interval are you running this on? 1 day

Can you please provide a screenshot of the setup that you have for the Strategy Analyzer?

To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file, Click Reply -> Go Advanced -> Click the paperclip in the top toolbar

Are these the settings that you are running the SampleMACrossOver strategy with?

The Kinetick connection you mentioned earlier is the Kinetick End of Day (Free) correct?

ahh i see needs t be daily on that tab. now have another Q...

so the Trigger for a buy order is when the EMA 5 crosses over the EMA 12 and the EMA 12 over SMA 20

here you see one failed trade, then the setup occurs and no trade is made... why does the second trade not go through?

I would suggest adding some draw objects to the strategy so that you can see if conditions are indeed becoming true. I have attached a picture to show how to add this

ok is there a way to change the colors of the lines plotted on the graph without unlocking the code?

You will need to right click on the chart and select Indicators...
You can select each SMA from the bottom left list and go to the plots parameters to the right and change the colors.

so theres no way to have it scripted into the strategy without unlocking the code...
