ZF - Need help

    ZF - Need help

    Two hours after Rays release saying disconnects with ZF had been fixed, I decided to try connecting again.

    Logged on at 10.25pm USA ET and have had FIVE disconnects already.

    I would not be trusting this for Live trading.

    Whoops - now up to EIGHT disconnects just while typing this - make that NINE.

    What a joke.

    With your message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file. The trace file is located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I would need a copy of the 'trace.20131230.txt' file.

      I see that Kyle has investigated however, I just want to add that I have forwarded this to Zen-Fire so they are aware of it.

          steve2222, I hope it gets resolved for you soon.

          My connection seems to be working now, but given this thread (and the typical off-board dealing with the problem) I am unsure as to whether this is a problem local to you or symptomatic of a wider issue that is being covered up (like it was yesterday).

          So, as with other traders here I'm sure, I lack confidence in my NT/ZenFire combo to begin trading today.

            I am able to connect but my charts are not updating ! The last price is the price at the connection time !

                I agree and have suffered that NT-ZenFire is not fixed.

                1.- not possible to reload historical data mainly to fix charts after yesterday´s chaos / disconnection.

                2.- Simple automated trading strategies with simple take profit and stop loss bracket, generate a chaos in Ninjatrader. Today at 11.00 CET two short positions in CL were generated instead of one, take profit and stop loss were not accepted and strategy was disabled. Finally I had to call to trade desk to ensure my position and open orders. I have claimed Mirus-ZenFire and also sent copy to support of Ninjatrader.

                Dear Ninja team, I am sure you are supporting as much as possible, but please work together
                restless with ZenFire to fix it definitely.

                      CL 02-14 is frozen, But CL ##-## is updating, Even when I open a new chart its still frozen at the time of connection. ES 03-14 is working ok.

                        Thanks. This is a known issue, not sure why but I will find out. If you have CL ##-##, you will not get data for CL 02-14 for example. If you remove CL ##-## (plus a possible restart) I believe CL 02-14 should start streaming.

                          For further follow up and clarification:

                          R18 with the new Zen-Fire upgrade works differently. They have provided a continuous contract through the use of our ##-## symbology however, the limitation is that if you request this continuous contract, the current front month will not stream meaning, you can have one or the other. At this time, there is no real reason to use the ##-## contract.

                            I have exited and launched NT and I am able now to reload historical data.

                            However I think still bracket orders need to be fixed.

                              I have the same issue with YM data. Totally illogical but that seems to be the issue.
