    FXCM Sunday Candle

I recently started a DEMO with FXCM and they currently offer NY Close Charts.

However, I noticed that their Daily candles show 6 bars per week showing the Sunday (low volume) candle that I dont want in my charts.

Is it possible to MERGE the Sunday candle with the Monday candle created by FXCM or as a last resource delete it from my chart?

Also, I was wondering if Kinetick uses NY Close or Midnight to start a new Daily Bar and if it uses 5 candles per week

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

    Which instrument are you charting?
Which Session Template is applied to that chart? To check:
Right click in the chart and select Data Series.
Session Template is shown on the right side of the menu.

      Kyle,

I just realized that if I changed Historical Data to Ninjatrader Servers, it eliminates the Sunday Candle.....

I was charting Cross Pairs like the EURUSD. I was using 24/7 Session Template.....

Question: Does the Session Template have any implication on Daily or Weekly Bars? I thought it had implication on Intraday bars only (Minute, Tick, Range, etc..)

When viewing Daily bars correct this will display the data provided by the broker automatically and will not look at the times within the Session Template as seen with Minute and Tick bars.

When testing on my end with FXCM I see 5 bars per week when loading a Daily chart. Can you please right click within your chart-->Reload all historical data and let me know if you continue to see 6 bars on your Daily chart per week.

If you do can you tell me for example what dates you see listed for the candles.

          Christopher,

As mentioned on my prior post I had used FXCM servers for Historical data instead of Ninjatrader Servers.

Once I changed to Ninjatrader servers it fixed the issue

          Thanks again!
