    Multibroker License question

I currently own a Multibroker license.

If I open 2 accounts with 2 Brokers that use CQG, can I connect to BOTH at the same time? Or you can only connect to 1 broker per technology.... meaning that I can have a broker with CQG and another with Rithmic but not 2 using same technology?

Please advise as I am interested in diversifying my funds between 2 brokers

    Thanks

    Hello pedroprada,

It will depend on the Brokerage Technology. CQG, Rithmic, MBTrading, Pats, and Vision will only allow one instance of their API running at once. If you have multiple account with the same broker you can have the username/password word be the same to have access to multiple accounts, but I am not sure that will work with separate brokers.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

So what I believe you are saying if I want to fund accounts at 2 different brokers, I should have one broker with Rithmic and another broker with CQG if I want to trade both accounts at the same time?

      Thanks

              Hello Laredo,

You would not be able to connect to both CQG and Continuum at the same time on the same machine. To use both you would have to use separate NinjaTrader computer, or disconnect from one to connect to the other.

Am I able to connect simultaneously to two separate brokers with different feeds?

In my instance AMP/CQG and Optimus(Vision)/Rithmic?

If so, how is this achieved?

                Thanks.

                  Hello Martinoc,

You would need a Multibroker License Key or use the Free Edition License Key to be able to connect to both CQG/Continuum and Rithmic/Vision at the same time. To connect to them both simply create your account connection for each, and then go to File -> Connect and select one and then repeat the step for the other.

If you do not see both of them as a listed provider, you may send your License Key (Help -> License Key) to sales [at] ninjatrader [dot] com and they can look into it for you. You may reference this thread in the body of the email so we have more information.

Happy to be of further assistance.

Can charts show data from same broker, two feeds (Rithmic, CQG)

                    1. Deploying my much-valued multibroker license, I just opened an Amp Futures account using Rithmic data. IF CQG has intraday data Rithmic lacks, can I use Rithmic to trade in my DOM while looking at a CQG symbol on a chart?

                    2. Do you know much intraday tick data does Rithmic provide and how to get more for backtesting?

                    3. Does CQG's extended data still require custom programmed format conversion to use with Ninjatrader?

Thanks for your highly polished platform and support.

                      Hello,

1.) All data will originate from the first provider you connect to. Please see the following link for more information about using multiple data sources with NinjaTrader: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...onnections.htm

2.) A few months of data are available for the most commonly traded instruments.

3.) Can you please elaborate on this?

                        elaborating on Question 3

Kyle I read on, I think it was big Mikes forum, that CQG extended data must be reformatted to use in Ninjatrader. Is that true?

                          Hello ProfitPilgrim,

                          Thanks for your reply.

That is correct, the data would need to be reformatted. Please see the link below on this.
