order not to remove

Hello,

in one of my charts there is in chart trader showing an order "BuyToCoverSTP" and I can not delete it. In orders tab this is shown with State "initialized".
I never had this before.

What might be the reason and what to do?

Thanks for your post.

First, if this is a live trade please contact your broker to manage the order.

Once you have closed the order with your broker please repair your database to remove the order from NinjaTrader.

To repair your database please go to Tools -> Options -> Data -> and click Repair DB.
If this does not remove the order then the order will be removed when your broker resets their servers.

If the order was submitted to the sim101 account please reset the sim101 account.

To reset the sim101 account please go to Tools--> Options--> Simulator--> and click Reset

Hello Brandon,

thank you for your reply. This was on SIM, but I´d like to know why this happens. When this occurs with a live-trade this might be a problem ending in a heart-attack. Why does this occur?

Please send your log and trace files in so that we may look into what happened.

You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.
The log file will be named "log.20140115.txt"

You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
The trace file will be named "trace.20140115.txt"

Once located send these files as attachments to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com
