Issue to detect existing positions when reconnecting

Hi All,

As many of you may have the same issue, IB automatically deconnect everyday outside of trading hours. Every morning I need therefore to restart my computer and reenable my strategy on various stocks. However, NT cannot detect existing positions when I reenable my strategy.

What can I do?

There are several aspects here that will come into play. First is this a strategy you have created or one you purchased from a third party?

If it's from a third party you will want to contact them on how to best re-enabled the strategy.

If you made it yourself, does the strategy only operate in real time, or does it work on historical data as well?

In this case most likely you will want Immediately submit working historical orders turned on, and sync account set to false.
