Heating oil

I have loaded (HO) from instrument man. and can not get any data for this instrument and it trades on globex the same as (NQ) or (YM) which i have no problem with any suggestions. Thank you

Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

What contract month are you viewing? 03-14? Do you see data in the Orders tab of the NinjaTrader Control Center for the HO 03-14? Is it that historical data is not loading on the charts?

3/14 and yes there is data on the control center orders tab O,H,L,C and bid and ask

The NinjaTrader historical servers for CQG do not have data for the HO.

I have the same problem but I'm connected to Vision Financial Markets.
How can I backtest my strategy if I can't receive any historical data? Any solutions?

Thank you for your post.

You can look at using another data feed provider to supplement the historical data such as Kinetick. At a minimum, and for all instruments Kinetick offers:

• 180 calendar days of historical Tick data (for building tick based charts, such as range and volume)
• 2 years of historical Minute data
• 10 years of historical Daily data

For more commonly traded symbols it is likely that more extensive historical data will be available, as well.

Does this mean that Kinetick is the only data feed providing historical data for Heating Oil?
I'm very satisfied with Vision Financial Markets and I'm receiving live data for HO as well. I need access to the historical data only once so getting a Kinetick subscription seems a little bit too much.

You would need another data feed provider for the historical data, but Kinetick is not the only data feed provider with this historical data.
