    Hi guys,

    I just placed a real money order on stock SCTY and I got the following error: IB: Unable to submit order: Please assign an additional exchange to this in the instrument manager....

    Its a Nasdaq stock so I enabled Nasdaq to the stock in the instrument manager. This did not help. I also tried NYSE.

    I am using Kinetick with IB.

    I have traded about 30 stocks without any problems. It is the only stock I am having problems with.

    Thank you for your forum post.


    When adding instruments to the NinjaTrader instrument manager that do not come installed by default, you may need to double check the symbol map within TWS to ensure you are using the correct symbol map:

    Here is a Video Example with Interactive Brokers showing the process of adding an instrument to NinjaTrader:



    Is your Kinetick connection a live, real-time data subscription or is it the End of Day (Free) connection?


    Also, are you connected to Kinetick first and then Interactive Brokers? If so, you will need to ensure that your Kinetick account is enabled for this instrument/exchange and the proper symbol map it placed in the Instrument Manager:
    • Control Center > Tools > Instrument Manager...
    • Type SCTY into the Name: field > Click Search
    • If you see a stock for SCTY appear in the grid > Double left mouse click to edit the instrument
    • Otherwise, click on "New" and create the instrument.
    • In the Maser Instrument field > Input "SCTY"
    • Instrument Type: Stock
    • Currency: UsDollar
    • Exchanges: Default & NASDAQ
    • Misc tab > Scroll to Symbol Map for Kinetick
    • Input "SCTY" next to Kinetick
    • Click OK when finished.

      Hi Ryan,

      Thanks a lot for your reply.

      I have a live, realtime subscription from kinetick. My first connection is Kinetick and my second connection is IB.

      Please see the attachment for the settings, I think they are correct.
