Market Simulation Broken

Seems you're having a server problem. I just tried the following on three of my NinjaTrader systems and I'm getting the same error.

1. Connect to Kinetick or IQFeed
2. Open Basic Entry.
3. Select any instrument or type in EURUSD

Problem

The Basic Entry panel doesn't produce a b/a quote on either of three systems. When I submit a market order it initializes but then fails:



Again, this is happening on three separate systems - all of which are running NT just fine. I tried to reset my instruments on my dev system but it did not help the issue.

Please forward this to a senior tech. Thanks.

Thanks for your post.

To access the USDJPY you will need to use $USDJPY
Right now you are trying to access USDJPY as a stock

Additionally I would recommend using the FX Pro window for forex.

Thanks but I actually tried that. Anyway, just tried it again and it worked for the EURUSD but GBPCAD for instance does not populate - neither does AUDCAD.

Thanks for your reply.

Restart NinjaTrader
Go to Tools> Instrument Manager
Under Available Master instruments select the $USDJPY
Press the < button to add it to your instrument list
Select he USDJPY stock under the available master instruments and press Delete
Select OK
In the Orders tab of the Control Center select the $USDJPY
Do you receive data in the Orders tab of the Control Center?
Can you open a chart for the $USDJPY?
Are there errors in the Log tab of the Control Center?

Something's very broken in this release

Please view the video below - this is completely FUBAR and it messes up my instrument database.

So typing symbols (correct or not) into the simple order panel is what adds these strange stock symbols to my instrument list. Obviously this is related to symbols not being recognized and no b/a being presented when trying to manually place an order.
