    Charts not updating> tried everything in the sticky thread!>please help me.

    Hi there,

    I read the sticky here at NT, my session time is "Default 24/7", (tried everything) , made sure I am connected, I also have "100 days" for days to load.

    • Intraday charts (15min, 60min) the only bars that show are during "2/5" (Feb 5)
    • DAILY/ WEEKLY CHARTS: There is also a gap inbetween 9 Nov to 7 Feb 2014.
    • My Antivirus and firewall are off.


    OH and the "reload historical data" is in grey (dont know how to activate it"


    I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest NT (7.000.21)


    a) Which datafeed/broker connection are you connected to? Also, in which connection sequence (i.e. I connect to Kinetick and then IB)?

    b) Do you receive any data for the instrument in the Control Center or SuperDOM?

    No.

    c) Which instrument are you attempting to receive data for? ES 03/14

    d) Can you re-produce this behavior? Could you please provide exact steps.

    Huh? When I first start up NT, its disconnected, then I connect, it connects no problem.



    e) What happens when you close your chart and open a New Chart under File > New > Chart?

    f) Have you installed any 3rd Party NinjaTrader indicators/strategies? If yes, please specify which ones and of which version (if possible).

    No none at all.

    Thank you for your post.

    Please right click in the chart - does the 'Reload All Historical Data' option appear to be available or is this option grayed out and unselectable?

          I'm having the same problem. Tried restarting 5 or 6 times now. Also grayed out. Tried deleting history manually to reload, didn't happen. Tried reseting instruments an db, no effect.

            Thanks for your post.

            So I may assist you further please answer the following.

            What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X)


            Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

            (For a chart) what interval is selected?

            Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

              30 minute chart of the ES. Version is .00019

              Connection is through Rithmic. Broker is AMP.

              Under logs it says "Unable to connect to NinjaTrade data server (DS 10. NinjaTrader.com/31654) No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. (208.48.16.130:31654)"

                Thanks for your reply.

                Do you have an anti virus/firewall installed and if so which one? (example: Norton, AVG, Avast)
                How do you connect to the internet; wired, wireless, 4g?
                Are you connected at a home or business location?

                  Antivirus is Avira.

                  Connection is at home through a router via ethernet.

                    Thanks for your reply.

                    Please exit NinjaTrader and restart your modem/router

                    Add NinjaTrader to Avira's exceptions list.
                    You will need to exclude the following directories.
                    C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7 or C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 7
                    (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7

                    Below I have provided a link to a site on how to add exceptions to Avira.

                        Hello feng456,

                        You are unable to connect to the NinjaTrader historical data servers. Our servers are up and functioning so restarting your modem/router will help clear out any kinks with them and adding exceptions to NinjaTrader will ensure your protection isn't blocking the connection.

                            Hello together,
                            last Friday I started with Kinetick realtime datafeed. To test it I signed for e-mini cbot. Everything did run perfect. Yesterday I recognized, that I don´t get realtime or delayed datafeed, anymore. If I open the 1 min chart, I get all bars since the current time but from there no update (no realtime & no delayed data). If I change to a different timeframe, same same. Switching back to the 1 min chart, I get all bars till the latest bar (also the previous bar missed), but no update. I am using the symbol YM 09-14.
                            The interesting part is, that in the log following message appears: ES 09-14 market data is delayed since your account.... -> I am not using this symbol. Furthermore sometimes jumps the market in the YM 09-14 up to 60 points down and continues on this level. Switching between the different timeframes (mentioned above), everything is fine again, but no new bars appear.
                            I am using Antivir. I tryed the steps below -> also no help.

                              Hello Michael,

                              What is the session template you have selected for the instrument? Can you right click in the chart--> Data Series--> Session template--> Change to 'Default 24/7' and see if that makes a difference.
