    chart

    hi,
    i use IB with NT,
when i trade ES and there is a new high/ low,... the TWS shows the high / low correct, but the Ninja chart not.
    example:
high is 1851,25 .. and NT only draws 1851,00.

    one tick missing...

    can you help?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

When reviewing data on my end with another source and the CME website it appears todays High for the ES 03-14 contract is 1851.00 as referenced at the link below:

hi, yeah sorry, this was just an example...
i could have also typed 2045,25 and 2045. There is always one tick differrence.
I know that i can reload historical data, but that takes time and while fast trading i dont want to do this to often.
      Sorry for the misunderstanding.

When connected to IB there is a X millisecond update therefore you may see different data real time due to the update interval within NinjaTrader however this updated interval is not seen within TWS charts.

The IB charts use a special function that also includes the high and low data and NinjaTrader relies on the pure live data stream.

I have submitted your request the NT do this into development team as a suggestion on how we can improve the NinjaTrader platform and has been assigned ID #1822 for tracking.

The only workaround is to connect to a data provider updates real time. If you are looking for a data provider only for real time and historical data I recommend using Kinetick: (Our Preferred Data Feed Service Built Specifically for NinjaTrader 7) which provides historical Tick, Minute and Daily data for Equities, Futures and Forex.

hi, does it have an impact if i change the "display update interval" properties ? in the moment it is 0,5 sec.

          thx

Unfortunately this setting will not change the behavior you are seeing as this is due to the real time data and the way it is sent.
