    MBTrading Volume

    Hi,

I trade Forex currencies and haven't had any issues with NT or MBT. However, volume has always disappeared from previous days when I've shut down NT. Is there some setting I'm missing that will keep my volume from previous days? Volume bars always start new from the time I restart NT. Maybe sounds petty, but it would be good to check volume over time as it helps seeing during different time sessions.

    Sincerely,
    Sharon

    Hello SharonSS,

    Thank you for your post.

Are you working with Volume bars in the chart or are you using the VOL indicator in a chart based on another type of data?

Sorry, yes, just the volume indicator. Didn't even think to make the distinction.

        Hello,

        Thank you for clarifying.

Data should be available here. If you right click in the chart and reload historical data from the server does the indicator value reappear?

I did as directed. Then used the left arrow to back up the chart and volume showed before the new session started - in my case 2:00 pst. Then once the new session starts the older volume bars disappear.

Is there a way to make them stay? Or is it just the way it is?

Note: This seems to work for the Minute Charts, but not for Range or UniRenko. So I think that's the way it is. At least it's good on Minute Charts. Thanks!

            Hello,

Please contact me at Support AT NinjaTrader DOT com. In your message, please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file. The trace file is located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I would need the 'trace.20140227.txt' file.
