Ninja & (FXCM vs Gain Capital)

Ninja support staff told me the FXCM API updates live quotes every 500 ms when using the Ninja platform connected to FXCM forex broker.

FXCM API is a really slow (500 ms) price feed and during major news times this could cause extra slippage for the trader (due to the slow price feed).

Can someone from Ninja please find out how often price quotes are updated when connecting Ninja with Gain Capital (forex.com) forex broker??

Regarding doing "forex" trading using NinjaTrader and FXCM broker, is there any way to get unfiltered forex quote real-time data feeding into Ninja where the forex pair quotes update every tick (instead of updating every 500 milliseconds via FXCM's Java API)???

And from what broker would this "unfiltered" forex data come from?

You would need to connect to the other data feed first and FXCM second in NinjaTrader. This way, you receive realtime data from the other connection.

The matrix will list 'data feeds only' such as Kinetick and DTN IQFeed, but it lists broker technologies as well such as Gain and FXCM.

The broker technologies can only be used if you have an account at a supported broker partner that uses the broker technology in question. They will provide data in NinjaTrader and will allow you to trade your account at your broker.

The 'data feeds only' will only provide data in NinjaTrader. You will need to have a subscription with one of these data providers to obtain login information, which you enter upon creating a connection.

If you trade CME Globex products, you can have these exchange fees waived if you have a qualified brokerage account. This service is only available for NinjaTrader 7. Thanks Jason. So does this mean that I can get unfiltered real-time and historical forex quotes from Kinetick feeding into Ninja charts (where the real-time forex quotes get updated each tick and not each 500 ms)?

Also does Kinetick's real-time and historical forex quote data come from FXCM broker? If not where do Kinetick's forex prices come from?

And does Kinetick's real-time forex data update each tick in Ninja charts?

Yes, Kinetick provides unfiltered data and so will update each tick.

I am not sure about the source. I suggest to clarify with Kinetick.
