Close Order Shortcut

Hi There ,
I did created macro format hot key in my Belkin Keyboard for hot keys in NT. Now I got this issue.

What Does mean "All hot keys are inactive when a modal form has focus" ? How can I disable it ?

Hello,

It is not possible to have a 1 key press to trigger a hot key in NinjaTrader.

You may be able to map a single key to forward to a more complicated key combination using AutoHotKey.

However, as a precaution again accidental orders this is not allowed in NinjaTrader.


Regarding the indicator, it may be possible to create a custom indicator that looks for keypress and then performs an action when pressed. This would be unsupported (and would need to be in C#) and I will not be able to assist with this.

A modal window is one that steals focus from other windows. The Chart -> Indicators... window is good example of this. Hotkeys will be disabled while the Indicators window is open.

Are you asking how to close this message?

Are you asking how to allow hot keys when a modal window is in focus?

Now I want use hot key in NT . But I cant bcs I get this pop up window. All hot keys are inactive when a modal form has focus. I jsut need to know , how can I disable this message and use hot keys in nt. I dont have open any indicator window (u wrote).

Hi Jakub,

To use hot keys, close the modal window.

In your screenshot the Hot Key Manager is open. This is a modal window (meaning you cannot click/move/right-click a chart while the Hot Key Manager is open).

I did close always hot key manager window.
The hot keys doesn't work for me. I did created hot key for cancel orders and I did try in sim account and nothing happent. So thats why I did ask u how to disable it but I see this is not issue why it doesnt work hot key for me. Now u can see hot key manager screen shot (this has been close while test using hotkeys).

I did open a new workspace for test and first screen shot is only chart opened by nt.
I had opened possition and I did try close it by hot key. It doesn work.

Do u have any idea ?

Hello Jakub,

Have you enabled hot keys?

To do this:

• Click Tools -> Options...
• Check the box for Use order entry hot keys

Are you still getting the error about the modal window?
Do you have any modal windows open?

I am didnt know that this option even exist Now its works perfectly.
