    WHAT is going On ?

    just loaded NT and data's missing from the ES and YM 03-14 contracts

    what's the cause of the missing data ?

    Are you connected to CQG/Continuum by any chance?

        One of our servers had a service interruption. We then re-routed users to one of our back up servers.

          I happened to be on the phone with Joel at AMP when he received
          NT's update, and had me re-start NT in order to switch servers

          there are two matters tho

          first, if I hadn't been on the phone with Joel, how would I have learnt
          about 'switching servers'

          second, you'll appreciate confidence in NT reliability - at least for me
          evaporates when there's data feed problems

          is the problem likely to re-occur ? or is the fix in ?

            Fair questions,

            1) Only if you had noticed that you were missing data which would only happen if you requested a new chart for an instrument that was not already streaming into your desktop. NT would have re-directed you to redundant servers on restart however, this is an area we are improving on in the future.

            2) We have been running servers for 8+ years and yes, we have had issues through the years but I suspect our up-time across that time span is 99.9%+. I can't guarantee you that there will be no issues in the future which is why we have redundant servers in multiple locations. Future issues may be in our control, some of them will be outside of our control such as internet issues and market data source issues. I can assure you that when we have an issue, we take action to resolve. Having a backup like Kinetick is one approach to mitigating risk.
