Accounts in Simulation Mode

This is probably the world's dumbest question, but is there a way to create multiple accounts in the Account tab of the Control Center while in Simulation mode?

Also, is there a way to delete or reset an account and begin with a fresh new account with no legacy executions?

Why do only executions for the particular day show up on the executions tab and why am I not able to see the simulation account or open positions in the Accounts or Positions tabs?

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

1.) If you are using a live license key multiple simulation accounts can be created:

• Open the Options menu (Tools > Options) then navigate to the Simulator tab.
• Click 'Accounts'.
• Enter a name for your new account (like Sim102, for example) and click OK.
• Restart NinjaTrader for the account to be made available.

2.) Please follow the instructions below to reset the NinjaTrader database.

• Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect
• From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
• Select the "Data" tab
• Press the "Reset DB" button
• Press the "OK" button

The following data will be removed:

1. Historical orders
2. Historical executions
3. Historical ATM strategy data

The following data will be maintained:

1. ATM strategy templates
2. Historical chart data

3.) These tabs are intended to show current day data only. If you wish to view historical results we recommend using the Account Performance tab of the Control Center to generate a performance report.


4.) Please ensure that you are connected to a real-time data source as this information would be hidden when NinjaTrader is disconnected.
