Getting fewer range bars than what I ask for

I want to open a 25 tick range bar chart and I want to load 1000 bars but yet I get only about 100 bars on the chart. What am I missing here?

    Hello idude,

    Thank you for your post.

This is likely due to the availability of historical tick data from the data feed provider you are connected to. Who do you connect to for data?

        Hello idude,

        Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, I do not have permissions for the GBPUSD data from MB Trading, so I cannot confirm the availability of data. Please go to Tools > Historical Data Manager > Edit > GBPUSD > + > Last > + > Tick > + > March 2014 > + > then check if there is data going back as far as needed to load 1000 bars of 25 RJay Range NoGap.

Yes I have tick data all the way back to november 2013 yet the first bar on the chart is from 3/12/2014, that is why I can't understand it's not loading more candles

            Hello ,

            Thank you for your response.

Please change the parameter Load Data Based On in the Data Series to CustomRange --> then set the Start Date of your tick data --> OK --> once complete please use the scroll bar on the bottom of your chart to go to the far left and advise what the date is listed as.

Yep! That worked, I've got a ton of bars now! But it didn't work the other way when it did work with other pairs?

                Hello idude,

                Thank you for your response.

If you increase the Bars To Load past 1000 to something like 5000, do you see additional data?

That doesn't seem to make any difference! Actually I've tried to use different numbers from 300 and up and get the same thing all the time. Probably a bug on the software.

                    Hello,

Please contact me at Support AT NinjaTrader DOT com. In the message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file. The file is located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I would need the 'trace.20140327.txt' file.
