forex chart doesn't allow me to enter orders?

I have been simulation chart trading emini s&p futures for a few weeks
now so am reasonably familiar with chart trader.

I have created a eur.usd chart [traded on the forex and not the cme].
when I right click on the chart I don't get a drop down panel with order
entry choices like I do with the emini s&p charts?

please advise

If you create a new chart and load EURUSD, can you place orders on this new chart via Chart Trader?

a du169136, my interactivebrokers account [not sim101]. also, in the ninja control center file dropdown list ''global simulation mode'' is unchecked

a NO. HOWEVER I JUST NOTICED THAT IT LOOKS LIKE THE LAST BAR ON MY CHART IS FOR YESTERDAY AND THE PRICE IS NOT UPDATING. MUST I SUBSCRIBE TO FOREX REALTIME DATA? IF SO PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO QUICKLY DO THAT.

a I don't know how to use superdom. I don't know of any other order entry window.

Thank you for the follow up.


NinjaTrader will require real-time data in order to successfully submit an order.


You would need to contact your broker at Interactive Brokers to have them enable real-time forex data on your account. After this is enabled you can simply restart NinjaTrader and the data should stream in real-time.

am I ok for sure on the ninja side of things [ie] does my kinetick live subscription include live forex data?

I just checked with my broker and ...

I am getting live data on my interactivebrokers account. they verified that I am, and the eurodollar/u.s. dollar pair [EURUSD] is updating properly and regularly every second on the interactivebrokers platform.

does not the fact that the last bar on my ninja $EURUSD chart is for yesterday indicate that the chart is not updating for today?

In regards to Kinetick, you would need to contact Kinetick support to see what the account was enabled for as I do not have access to this information.

Since you receive real-time data for EURUSD in the Interactive Brokers platform, you will be able to receive this real-time data in NinjaTrader.


For your current chart, check the end date:

• Right mouse click on the chart background > Data series...
• Under the Data section > End date
• If this is not set to today's date, please set to today's date and click OK when finished.

You may need to right mouse click on the chart background > Reload all historical data.
