where in chart trader do I set ''use midpoint prices'' ?

tech support at interactive brokers tells me I must use that feature to make forex chart trading work during a ninjatrader-to-interactivebrokers connection.

Currently there is not an option to set the price displayed to Midpoint within NinjaTrader however I have forwarded this to our development team as a suggestion on how we can improve the NinjaTrader platform. Once this suggestion has been input into our tracking system I will forward you the assigned ID number for tracking.

interactivebrokers tech support tells me I must specify midpoint prices to make forex chart trading work between ib and nt.

if I understand ib tech support correctly, does that mean I cannot chart trade forex currency pair?

put another way, should the forex chart work?

You can trade Forex with Interactive Brokers without this setting applied within NinjaTrader.

Within NinjaTrader Forex charts Last price will be based off the Bid therefore is you would like to have the same chart within TWS you would also need to set their charts to Bid as well however is not required to trade.

what specifically must I do now to make the forex chart work. my mini s&p chart is working fine at the moment so I currently have a clean connection [and have had all day].

Within NinjaTrader you will open Forex charts the same as you would when opening a Futures chart.

Please tell me what happens when you attempt to open a Forex chart currently. Do you receive any error messages?

I stumbled into the solution. everything is working ok now.

in tools...acct connections ... change ... connection options
I checked the ''trade currencies(FX)'' box
