    Hello Rob,

    Thank you for your post.

Do you see results when running the same test on the SampleMaCrossOver strategy in NinjaTrader with the same settings as your strategy?

Are you connected to your data feed provider when running this test?

Do you have data in the Historical Data Manager (Tools > Historical Data Manager) for the instrument and period you are testing the strategy on?

I look forward to your response.

      Hi Patrick.

I don't see any result on the crossover either.

      Yes I'm connected.

How can I see which data is available, How much historical data is available and how can I get these data the easiest way?

        Hi Patrick

        Strange situation.
I have started up Ninjatrader again and now I can load a new chart, but when I try to load a strategy and click to enable the strategy, the strategy doesn't load and at once at false.
Try to do it again but I don't succeed.
Hope you have an explanation and solution for this issue.
After restarting Ninja I do succeed in backtesting a strategy.

        Thx in advance.

        Rob

          Hello Rob,

          Thank you for your response.

When the strategy will not enable do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

To check the historical data available please go to Tools > Historical Data Manager > Edit.

            Hi Patrick

I don't receive any error on the screen.
            No errors in the log.
Just no enabling and automatic on false in the strategy.

              Hello Rob,

              Thank you for your response.

Who are you connected to when attempting to start the strategy? What account is selected for the strategy?

                Hello Patrick.

We use a livetrading account RobbinsTrading of Worldcupadvisor.
when we use sim1 we succeed to start up the strategy.

                    failure of optomisation

                    Godd day,
I wrote a strategy than I optimized it and it worked.
Later on I deleted one variable from the strategy altogether with a corresponding item in Properties. I compiled it. When I run Strategy analyser again in an Icon Optimize I selected the strategy but it showed in Data Series variables from next strategy (case study from Ninja Trader). What should I do to get data series from chosen strategy? Thank u, Zdenek

                      Hello squashfan,

                      Thank you for your post.

When this occurs there should be an error listed in your Log tab of the NinjaTrader Control Center. Please advise what this error message reports.

                          Hello squashfan,

                          Thank you for your response.

Are you accessing the TickSize value in the Initialize() method? If you are, you will need to remove TickSize from the Initialize() method.
