    Chart not updating but market analyser is

    Since 4th April, none up my charts have been updating but the Market Analyser which I've set up reflects the current latest EoD price of stocks.

    To be honest, I don't know where to start to try and get my charts to have the latest data. I don't understand all of these Session Template Time zones, etc.

    I can tell you this:

    - I am in Australia and so my PC time is in dd/mm/yyyy
    - The chart dates on the x-axis are in mm/dd/yyyy (annoying)
    - I am trying to plot the stock SHL (which is part of the ASX 200)
    - Using NT7
    - Plotting data from 8/4/2014 minus 365 days (nothing complicated)
    - The chart data series session template is Asx RTH (does this change anything?)
    - I am using Yahoo data
    - My Session Manager sessions are as attached

    I'd really like to work this out as I need to see my indicator update!

    Thanks for writing in.

    Please exit NinjaTrader and open the following directory in Windows
    Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\cache
    Delete the contents within this folder
    Restart NinjaTrader
    Right click on your chart and select Reload All Historical Data and test

      I went to C:\Users\User\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\cache but there are no files in here. No hidden files either.

        Hello,

        With NinjaTrader shut down please delete the Cache folder itself then restart NinjaTrader and reload chart data.

          Thanks for your quick reply but in the meantime I deleted the contents of each of the five folders in here
          C:\Users\User\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db

          The folders were data, min, day, tick, cache (already empty)

          It worked!

            Hi Kyle,

            Despite deleting my cache folder and also attempting the method I outlined in my previous post (04-09-2014, 08:22 AM) I'm still finding that while running the WFA, the 'Error on loading chart data' still appears even for stocks which have been around well before the start of the WFA window.

            Do you have any other ideas on how to fix this?

              Thanks for your reply.

              To look into this further please email your log and trace files for today to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com

              You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

              The log file will be named "log.20140506.txt"
              You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

              The trace file will be named "trace.20140506.txt"

              Once located send the files as attachments and include a link to this forum topic in the message

                Thanks Brandon. I have sent off the request. I've attempted to produce a chart for one of the stocks which causes an 'Error on loading' prompt during the WFA and I get the same error.

                This stock is definitely listed and I can access the Yahoo data via the URL which is in the Instrument Editor which is (http://au.finance.yahoo.com/q?s=QBE.AX) so I really don't understand why NT has an issue with loading the data.
