    Rejected: There is no market data available to drive the simulation engine

    Hello,
    I am getting the error message noted in the title when my strategy tries to create an order when it runs on my SIM101 account for selected instruments.

    My data comes from Interactive Brokers, and I call pull up a quote there, and create a chart in NinjaTrader. I have added the instruments in the Instrument Manager.

    Examples of instruments include the following stocks: SGY, CRK, and SGBL, whereas others like CPE, GLOG and FTK work fine.

    What could be the cause of this error?

    Who are you connected to when this error occurs? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

      It says I am connected to Interactive Brokers.

        May I test the strategy on my end? You will find the strategy's .cs file in the following directory on your PC: (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Strategy. Please attach to your response or send to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with 'ATTN: PAtrick - 1057445' in the subject line and a reference to this thread in the body of the e-mail: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ad.php?t=65437

          was there an update to this? I have a feeling this is coding issue as I see data and i have done all the reloading of my charts etc.....

                So you are seeing the same error as Ian was in this thread? And you are trading to the Sim101 account?

                If you go to Tools > Instrument Manager > search for the instrument you are testing > select the instrument > then Edit > is there a 'Sim feed start price' set?

                      I am using FXCM broker but trading against the SIM account. The product is spot fx EURUSD

                          Same problem with ZW on IB connection

                          Hi,

                          I'm having the same issue with ZW and IB live conneciton and a second connection to Kinetick for historical prices and backup. Sim price is set. Could someone please explain what is happening?

                            Because the market is closed?

                            It's holiday (Labor Day) in the USA, and futures should have been half day or less than half day.

                            View holiday trading hours for floor-traded and electronically traded futures and options available at CME Group, as well as products offered for clearing only through CME ClearPort.

                              Thank you sledge. I know that markets are closed, but why does that mean that i can't enable a strategy? When I enabled the same strategy on ZS it did not throw the error. If a market is closed should't NT just calculate on the historical data and wait until market opens?
