FXCM Hitorical

Hi, I'm trying to do historical backtesting with FXCM provider using 15 minute bars on GBP/USD. For some reason, I the dates 9/15/13-4/9/14 works fine, but anything before 9/1/13 does not seem to work correctly.

Is there some limit to the amount of historical data that Ninjatrader can load from FXCM?

If you open a $GBPUSD chart are you able to load data for 9/1/2013? If not can you tell me if you are using FXCM or NinjaTrader for historical data. You can check this setting by going to Tools-->Account Connections-->Select your connection-->Change-->Next.

Yes, the chart seems to work just fine!

I'm using Ninjatrader servers for historical data, but when I switch to use FXCM, I seem to have the same issue.

To clarify when using NinjaTrader servers are you able to backtest successfully.

If not can you clarify the issue you are experiencing.

No, I cannot backtest anything before 9/15/13 in any scenario.

Actually, I take that back.... If I run 1/1/13-4/4/14, I will get action from 1/1/3-9/15/13 (approximately), then nothing after 9/15/13.

If I run 9/15/13-4/4/14, I get action the entire time.

It seems that there is a limit to the amount of data loaded or something?

If you run the backtest on the SampleMACrossOver strategy do you experience the same behavior?
