coloring an area between two moving Averages.

Hello All,

Looking to color an Area between two moving averages. Example. 20 SMA and 7 SMA. so whenever they cross up turns green and crossing down Red. How do I go about doing that in the Strategy Wizard .

Thank you for your post.

You would need to create a custom script that will use the DrawRegion() function in the code.

This will not be possible in the Strategy Wizard, only with manual coding.

We’re a proud NinjaTrader 3rd party add-on provider (NinjaTrader press release can be found at http://www.ninjatrader.com/downloads...st_29_2013.pdf ) and we have an indicator, the Ultimate Moving Average Cross Alert indicator bundle, which colors the gap between two Moving Averages as one of its many features (have attached image examples below).

The colors, opacity, etc are all individually customizable and the indicator has been coded for efficiency, as it only colors the viewable area on your chart, rather than shading all of the available data on your chart that can’t be seen, hence minimising PC resource usage.

I just wanted to mention this is available, if anyone is interested in an indicator with this functionality but unable to do the manual coding required to achieve this themselves.
