How to Create Metastock txt file to import MS DaTA into NJ

Hi,
I've read that i need to convert MS file into txt to import file into NJ

Unfortunately i didn't find anywhere info how can i do that.

I tried to import file via Historical Data manager but it finds only Emaster file.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!

The master file is one you will want to import. Keep in mind that in order to import MetaStock data into NinjaTrader an instrument for that data needs to exist. Unfortunately the use of digits in the symbol name is not supported. If there's a possibility to export the data without digit, or create that instrument manually in NinjaTrader, import would work.

Thanks for quick response.
Well i tried to import but i get MSG "There have been errors on displaying instrument list.Please check the log".
Not sure how can i do it on proper way.

Please send a note into support(at)ninjatrader(dot)com, and put ATTN: Zach in the subject line with a link to this forum thread in the body.

Additionally, please manually attach your log file to that email.

You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

• The log file will be named "log.20140418.txt"
