    Trendlines changing values

    I am sure i cant be the only one with this issue but couldn't find anything in the search box...

    I will establish some trendlines on weekly chart, when i move into a daily chart the trend lines are WAY off. the trend lines are the purple lines

    Hello,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    The charts use a quantified scaling method, or auto scaled by the computer. This causes angles of Draw Lines to look different from chart to chart, since the scaling is not the same and use a geometric calculation. (Time frame)

    There are a couple options to help compensate for this.

    The first one is to use the Snap Mode of Bar and Price. This will put a more 'hard' data point set for the line.

    The second is to change the Y-axis Based On parameter to EntireDateRangeSeriesOnly, Which will adjust the y-scaling to be the entire time frame loaded for the chart and not just what's visible.

      I use snap to bar and price currently, I just saw that in the trendline to set the date to "today" thank you!

        well notw it appearsthat didnt totally work, and i am getting a continuous error, restarting NT now..

          ok so when i change the date on the Y parameter it moves the line as well
