This are exactly my settings for TLW.

Concluding, I can't load data from LSE. Do you have intention to fix it? I think this is a big bug.

It is possible when using SMART. Is there a way to change this for you on IB's side?

Does your IB connection makes use of a security code? If not, could you please send me your Config.xml file, so I can test your connection on my end.

I asked this to IB. There is no possibility to change the settings on tws to force to load data from direct or smart.

I do use a security code but this shouldn't be a problem because I can load data with no issues for US stocks. I still think this is a bug to fix.

How come you have DIRECT for Lse stocks? When I add Lse stocks in TWS, they are listed as "Stock (SMART)". What do you see for UK and US stocks?

Do you know how I can obtain Lse stocks through DIRECT?

Do you receive data if you try TLW|SMART as symbol map? Make sure you remove and re-add the TLW to your instrumemnt list after making the change.

To select data through direct you have to select Direct from the first dialog that appears and then select LSE on the second. I attach images

Thank you for the screenshot. Unfortunately I do not have this selection. It only shows "Stock (SMART)".

When you added the TLW to your instrument list, what did you have selected for 'Exchange'? Can you please test both selections - Default and Lse.

Remove the TLW from your instrument list.

Make sure it uses TLW|LSE as symbol. Both the Default and Lse exchanges are checkmarked.

Add back the TLW with 'Exchange' set to Lse to your instrument list. Click OK and check if you receive data without error.

If the error remains, please repeat these instructions but now try adding back the TLW with 'Exchange' set to Default.

I'm Happy to say that with this settings it works.

Unchecking Default and adding |LSE to the symbol mapping.

                  Thanks
